You know you’re in too deep in the X-Men fandom when you can easily explain who Cable and Rachel Summers are, why they have different mothers but are biologically related as though they have the same mother, how they shouldn’t both exist at the same time, why Rachel is Cable’s big sister even though he’s at least 40 years older than her, and how Rachel is also the pope of Cable’s religion.

Out of countless alternate realities Rachel only exists in 5 of them… Quite a sobering thought.

Those “Rachels” are only visions of our Rachel from her own past. Claremont’s picking up on a plot point from his original Excalibur run (“Cross-Time Caper”) that revealed that Rachel was one-of-kind in the multiverse, with no alternate selves.
Later What-If and Exiles writers forgot/didn’t know about this and created various “AU” Rachels but IIRC in the same issue Claremont has Rachel say they aren’t really her.

XX: an all X-women X-men comic coming

I love this as a concept, and it is great to see pretty much all of them getting a book. I’m a little trepidatious about Jubes being the center, just because I hate vamp Jubilee. Still, anything with Rachel Summers/Grey gets my money by default.

Finally! Somebody who can write a strong female character like Rachel Summers and do her more than justice. Aaron has finally brought our favorite
(living) redheaded X-Man front and center in the great Avengers Vs X-Men epic. Rachel was everywhere in this action-packed issue, whopping ass and taking names. But apart from all the glorious mind punching, and telekinetic kung fu, this issue showed us the Rachel we all know and love; and all grown up from the great person she already was. Avengers Vs X-Men is a war between to sides that want the best for the world. But who’s to say what the best is? And that’s what we find out here, as Rachel struggles to choose a rightful side. Tasked by her father, Cyclops, now 1/5 of the Phoenix Five to track down and retrieve Hope Summers from the Avengers; a task that only a former Hound can do, as Rachel battles those she knew as friends and people she once looked up to. As the story progress, Rachel struggles to balance out her new peace of mind and her old ways as a hound that hunted and led her mutant race to near extinction. As a battle between her and the Avengers ensues, Rachel is forced into a corner, that sadly she is prepared for. But something amazing happens: Rachel chooses a side, but not the one you may think. This is issue was beautiful from start to finish, with all the color effects and action sequences, this issue really dazzled. If you asked me, its hands down one of the best issue to come out of AVX thus far. The issue brought to the light some questions fans might have been wondering about, since the beginning of Avengers Vs X-Men, for example, “What role will Rachel play in this event?” “Will Rachel finally get to have a one on one conversation with Hope?” “What are Rachel’s feelings towards the Phoenix Force and the Phoenix Five?” So Bravo Jason Aaron for writing such a terrific issue, and showing the world the point of view that some of us X-Men fans have been longing for!

Try again.

#Dear Bryan Singer, I hear you are gonna do X4 and X5, so listen now and listen good. I need you to have X5 end with Magneto regretting everything he has ever done. I need there to be a mutant at his disposal who can bend time. I need Magneto to use said mutant to send him back to a time when he could fix everything. I need Erik to open his eyes and see Charles, young, full of life and there by his side, in this exact scene from First Class. I need Erik to weep from the combined weight of the memory of his mother and this moment in time, unsure as to whether or not Charles already knows that the Erik before him is not the same Erik as a moment ago. And finally, I need Charles to say to Erik, gentle and with complete and utter faith, tears rolling down his face, “Try again.”

….I’m crying…

THIS IS EVERYTHING I NEED IN LIFE.

Well, there is Scott Summers and Jean Grey’s (possible) daughter Rachel Summers, who has her mom’s powers + phoenix host+ chronoskimming : ability to temporarily transplant a person’s mind and send it through time into a younger/older version, a close ancestor/descendant, or as a disembodied astral form.

WAAAANT!!!!! *___*

Me too~
